How can I download Roger email backup

Virus and malware protection

Fatal consequences of extortion Trojans. IT offers no protection when e-mail attachments with macros are opened or links are clicked.

Please note from the current occasion:

It should be clear that no virus protection offers perfect protection.Hence my recommendation:
1. Do not open any attachments in the form of Office files!
2. Und no attachments in any form unless you are familiar with the format.
3. Do not click on links that you do not know and check beforehand where the link leads.

Senders can be forged!
Directly executable file formats (very dangerous): e.g. B. .exe, .bat, .com, .cmd, .scr, .pif
File formats that can contain macros: e.g. B. Microsoft Office files like .doc, .docx, .docm, .ppt, .pptx,. xls, .xlsx
Packaged file formats: e.g. E.g. .zip

Use only current operating systems. Keep them up to date.

E-mail attachments: Do not send any Office originals, convert them to PDF beforehand (see below)!

Do not enable active content in Office documents (Word / Excel) when prompted. Active content is almost never necessary, most of the time it is malware. In general, be careful with email attachments, even if they come from people you know. Until now, phishing emails from unknown senders and poor language were relatively easy to identify. But now there are also pests in circulation that answer an email written by the victim himself and thus come from an important contact person!

Malware protection: Always keep your virus / malware protection up-to-date. On the one hand, the speed at which new threats are established is increasing, and on the other hand, manufacturers have to constantly adapt their programs to the operating systems.

There is a very good brochure from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT):
