Is Paramore popular in France

Hayley Williams announces solo tour with a stopover in Cologne

After starting her own business, Hayley will be on stage without her colleagues from Paramore and announced her first solo tour.

Depression determined her everyday life
Since mid-2018, fans of the US band Paramore have been waiting for a sign of life and in the end had to find out that front woman Hayley Williams had suffered from severe depression.

“Getting healthy is a lifelong process. I'm tired of people treating mental health like an 'either / or' situation. Sometimes you are just in a gray area for a while - on the way into the light, ”she wrote on Twitter, among other things, and spoke to“ The Fader ”magazine about the terrible time:“ For the first time in my life, I have no longer seen the light at the end of the tunnel. I was hoping it would all just stop. I wasn't suicidal, I didn't mean to kill myself. It was just hopeless. What's the point of all this? I don't think I understood how dangerous hopelessness is. Everything hurts. […] One day I will not be here anymore and I have to accept that tomorrow is not guaranteed. So I ask myself: is my life satisfactory today? If I don't have a tomorrow, what have I done with my today? Did I do everything right? "

At the end she had talked to her therapist about all the problems and thoughts and came to the decision that she wanted to go on alone. Hayley wrote the following translated words on Twitter: “30 was a very important year. 31 it will be too. I'm bringing out some music in the coming year. With the help of some of my best friends, I've created something that I can call my own. It's a very special project and you'll get a taste of it in January. Happy New Year, friends. "

And lo and behold? Their fans didn't have to wait long for a foretaste: The tracks “Simmer” and “Leave It Alone” have since been dropped, which can also be found on their corresponding five-song debut EP “Petals for Armor I”:

Concert in Cologne
After their first EP was dropped on February 6th, Williams already announced their debut album, which will be called “Petals of Amor” and will be released on May 8th, 2020. In keeping with this, the motley singer will also start her first own world tour and has just announced all the shows: While Hayley will celebrate her kick-off on May 13th in Amsterdam, she will also be coming to Germany for a show. On May 19, 2020, the Paramore front woman will be on stage in the Live Music Hall and will hold the only performance on German-speaking soil. Then back to North America for her.

"WOW. I'm going on tour. I myself. It's not paramore and frankly it's a bit scary. I do know, however, that there is no safer place for me (other than at home with my dog) than to stand on a stage in front of the people I grew up to and sang my lungs out to. [...] It will be so satisfying for me to feel the energy of the audience, [...] especially when you play songs that feel so important to me. Songs I've never played for an audience. "
