What Winston Churchill would say about the corona crisis

In crises such as the current corona pandemic, it becomes apparent who is doing justice to their own tasks and the associated responsibility and who is not. This is particularly true for managers. A quote from Winston Churchill points the way.

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill (1874-1965) in London) is considered the most important British statesman of the 20th century. He was Prime Minister twice and led Britain through World War II. He was considered a self-confident politician who drove power and authority, but also responsibility.

Even if comparisons of the current corona pandemic with the Second World War miss the point, both are crisis situations. In this respect, it is legitimate to recall a quote from Winston Churchill on dealing with crises:

There is no point in saying: we are doing our best. You must be able to do what is required.

In other words: as important as clear, open and transparent communication is. It is not just a question of words, but of taking action. And this to the best of our knowledge and belief, as required by the respective situation. And that goes for everyone!
